Building a SquareSpace website that conforms to Google's standards while also being beautiful in the eyes of your customers is a combination of art and science. It does take a real knowledge of how these things work to make a site that serves both Google and your real customers well. That's where I come in. 

Using my knowledge of Google's requirements and "secrets" I work with you using readily-available web-based tools to create a site that will thrill your customers and actually get found on the Internet. I create a strong foundation that serves your business well. But once the foundation is in place, I show you how to make updates and changes to the site so that you're in control!

You get all the tools you'll need to know how popular your site is and what makes it so. 

Part of the equation of a successful site is fresh content and that's where you come in. By making easy-to-use tools available to you you can update the site with new pictures, specials, tips, articles or anything else you'd like. 

What about WordPress? 

WordPress is the most popular tool for website development. Period. 

The advantages to WordPress include almost unlimited flexibility, a big community of developers and tons of plug ins and add-on features. That's all great!

The disadvantages of WordPress is that it's an open-source community so the upgrades and options are not supervised by a single operation. This means that some work great and some don't. Sometimes upgrades and options work well with one another and other times you may install something and it disables something else. Or crashes the whole website. Ugh. 

Plus you have to take responsibility to upgrade the database software that WordPress runs on, you have to understand that all the various elements work well together and you are also responsible for the security of your website and the hosting. Oh, and you better be sure that whomever is doing all this is making sure the data is backed-up as well. In triplicate. 

If your site has a lot of custom elements and features, WordPress is the way to go. But if you're basically telling the story of your business I prefer the power of SquareSpace and the company that stands behind it. 

Here are some websites I've done recently that follow my philosophy of letting you take charge once the foundation has been established. The tools I use are generally web-based design tools that permit shared editing and portability. In other words, I empower you to make changes in any aspect rather than keeping everything to myself like some mystical code. ​

• ​Curbside on-line car show calendar. 
  This one uses a lot of custom code and proprietary features. There is an on line car show calendar, podcast hosting, stories and integrated social media components. 
• StressLess Camping
  If you're looking for a blogging format, this one is a classic and the topic, RVing, is one of my favorites. In addition it features podcast hosting and an RV show calendar. 
• Bell Event Services
  The best event production company in Southern California where you can buy booths for street fairs and much more. 
• Hermosa Beach Fine Arts Festival
  This site is fairly static but does feature a store where people can buy their booth space. 
• Sunnyside Inn. A modern mobile-active site where my customers are empowered to make changes and updates. 
• A&B Collision
• North Shore Business Association. 
• Fixin It Up with Sandra
  I helped Sandra start the site which she has since taken over to create an incredible social media business. I did the initial work with Sandra and she has since taken the reins and run with it. This is a way I enjoy working with people!
• Mount Konocti Winery
  I got to pair some great wines with a website where you can buy those wines. 
• Lake County Bar Association
  This is another site that I initiated which they have since taken over and run with.
